Jian Yi

Jian Yi is an award-winning independent filmmaker and cultural activist based in China. His narrative & documentary films have won awards and been shown internationally. Jian founded IFChina Original Studio, an NGO focusing on collecting social memories. He is a 2009 Yale World Fellow. Jian directed What's For Dinner?, the first Chinese documentary on the country's growing meat consumption and its negative impacts on public health and the environment. He is running a successful social media campaign to raise public awareness of animal agriculture.
